Pumpkin Patch Part II

Because we just can't get enough of pumpkins, we spent some time this weekend at yet another pumpkin patch.  We drove down to Aberdeen to spend the day with Jake, Sarah, Duncan, Zeke, Pam and Lois, then went out for a little fall festivities..... in the rain!  Nothing says "harvest time in western Washington" like a rainy ride in the pumpkin patch.

I have to say, I think the ride out to the field was my favorite part.  The trailer was covered in mud, except for the straw that we sat on.  We all had to watch out step climbing on, because we were all in danger of either slipping on, or losing a shoe in the mud.

We left the warm, dry barn on an journey to find Duncan and Zeke the PERFECT pumpkins.  Isn't that how every adventure in Washington should begin, by leaving the warm, dry _________.

As you can see, the "outlaws" have been pushed to the very fringes of the family, forced to huddle together and fend for their own dry, mud-less bale to sit on.

Pam, Amy, Jake and Duncan stayed together on the other side of the trailer.  I guess they didn't want to be associated with Sarah or I.

As you can see, Gavin was SO excited that he fell asleep.  

Duncan, on the other hand, was having WAY too much fun trying to find his own pumpkin... and all of the puddles to splash in.

We can tell Duncan was born in Washington.... he didn't eve bother to put on his hood.

Pam had WAY too much fun styling Duncan's hair while it was wet.  Needless to say, we can always have a blast with this crew, come rain, or come shine!  Can't wait to see them all again, and see what new adventures await!
