My 30th Birday

For my 30th birthday, Bryan whisked Gavin and I away to Ocean Shores for the weekend and it was a scorcher. It even broke 90 at the ocean. The cool breeze did help out. We stayed in a nice hotel, enjoyed the water, ate some ice cream, bought some taffy and fudge, and Bryan organized a surprise birthday picnic for me on the beach.

Sunset over the dunes
Playing in the surf
Gavin did not care for his first experience with the ocean, we'll have to see how he does next summer.
Someone parked a little to close to the water and didn't come back to move their car in time

When it's 90 degrees in Ocean Shores, people flock to the beach

Grandma and Ally in the spot of shade
I had a very vibrant birthday cake

Yes, they did. Apparently they were out on a horseback ride and did not realize that the ocean was going to have a high tide, a very high tide.
